Our department was established in 1998 and graduated its first students in 2002.

In addition to basic mathematics and science, the effective use of new information and communication technologies in education is among the main objectives of our department. The aim of our department is to train computer teachers that our country needs in the field of computer and communication technology.

Our department is currently not accepting students within the scope of YÖK decisions. There are 6 laboratories belonging to our department, and these laboratories serve for the information technology courses of other departments as well as department courses. Students from other departments can use our computer labs in their spare time, and students can do their research on the internet in these labs.
